CPI - Poetry Is For Faeries

This was the first mix I got "Internet Famous" for. 10 years later I still get people writing me letters about how this changed their lives when they found it by random on someone's Soulseek or Napster account.

Released in 1999, this was a golden age for abstract hiphop. Anticon was just emerging and was barely known. Sole was at the peak of his youthful rise, Buck65 hadn't gone totally CBC, Josh Martinez hadn't ODed on pot and Why? hadn't become and indie-rock God yet.
They all went on to greatness, but they had this supreme naive charm at this stage.

CPI - Awkward Behaviour

Way back in the day I had an old radio called Awkward Behaviour, and this mix was made to commemorate it and its style.
The intro DJ Food track was used as the opening theme song. This is all from 1999. Be sure to check out Ambient 2, which I recorded as a b-side to this, and it was all released on a 60-minute cassette.
