MP3 blog 2009/08/30

blog 2009/08/30 - A souvenir for you, even before you even left.

She's back with oh so much more! Put on your slippers and bathrobe, take your pills, and prepare!

Azeda Booth - In Red: The delicious little vocals are constantly threatened to be gobbled by forward-charging percussion (both drum kit and electronic), and the swells of melodic repetition. It has the feel of any excited and nervous dream that leaves you a bit exhilarated and sad at the same time. Check back to March, where we previously had some Azeda Booth up in this place. A perfect way to get started!
http://www.azedabooth.com/

B. Rich - Bump: Even more from this basshead master. Resurrecting the early 90s hardcore tradition of perfectly cheesing female vocal lines, but transplanted in to the modern day rave-a-lution that is dancey dubstep. GIMME THE BASS!
http://www.myspace.com/brichbass

Bill Craig - Whiskey In the Jar: We got drunk one night in Toronto at an Irish and Scottish pub, and this chap was playing to us all evening. I bought two of his CDs because it was such a party. No matter how much of a fucking hipster you are, at least once a year you should get out to a bar to sing drunken standards like these over pints of whiskey. Hell yes.
http://www.billcraig.com/

"My Shit is Perfect" is the 2009 album from Mr. Bob Log the third, but only the 2nd song here is from that album. The first track, Boob Scotch, is from the 2003 album My Shit is Perfect. All of the maturity and refinement of early 90s Ween mixed with R.L. Burnside churning A-for-effort bluesy goodness.
And I think the idea of putting my breast into a scotch is kind of exciting. But that's just me.
http://www.boblog111.com/

Boltan - Creepy (Mightyfools Remix): This is some solid straight up electrobounce goodness. Way to scratch that distortion fuzz!
http://www.myspace.com/itsboltan
http://www.mightyfools.com/

Does It Offend You, Yeah - Let's Make Out: I had been listening to the old album "You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into" again and just enjoying how much of an awesome party album it is. Some many good singles! For fans of The Rapture, Calvin Harris, and fun. And making out.
http://www.myspace.com/doesitoffendyou

Final Fantasy
- Blue Imelda: This is from last year's "Spectrum, 14th Century" EP release. 2008 was a quizzical change of gears for Owen Pallett fans, but I'm sticking with him. I of course wanted the strings, but here we find steel drums and horns sounding like they are straight from a Beirut album. Still good stuff, and it only goes to remind us we can never underestimate this man.
http://www.finalfantasyeternal.com/

Ironic joke bands are a dime-a-dozen, but it takes the combination of tightly written lyrics, catchy hooks, and uber cuteness to really pull it off. Enter Garfunkel & Oates, who appropriately inerit a piece of the post-Flight Of The Concords world. Be sure to check them on youtube to get the full effect.
http://garfunkelandoates.com/

Johnny Foreigner - Cranes And Cranes And Cranes And Cranes: bah baah bah bah baddup dup! Deliriously fun stuff from the 2008 album Waited Up Til It Was Light. I love dually fun-punk verses. This is even more fun than Los Campensinos.
http://www.johnnyforeignermusic.com/

Kidz In The Hall - Work To Do (Obama For America): How many Obama songs are there? shit, I've posted at least 7 on this blog. One more on the shelf, and it's a joy, too. I haven't heard from Kidz In The Hall in a while either, so that always makes me smile.
http://www.kidzinthehall.com/

Laura Marling - New Romantic: The clever and clear songwriting reminds me a lot of Emmy The Great, or at least the parts of Emmy The Great I really enjoy. Quality singer-songwriter romance.
http://www.lauramarling.com/

Lin Que - Rip It Up (Beatnuts Remix): I hadn't heard this woman until 2009, but this is from a 1993 12"! Quality early 90s hiphop, and a super tight Beatnuts beat.
http://www.lin-que.com/

Maria Taylor with Andy LeMaster - A Good Start: I run out of adjectives so quickly. I just love solidly composed songs like this one. *shivers* Don't judge me!
http://www.maria-taylor.com/

Michna - Believe In it (Eliot Lipp Remix): Eliot Lipp is always good for a remix, fusing some jazzy organ lines with his downtempo electro-stutter beats. From the Eggstra EP, available up at Beatport, amongst other places. Highly recommended for fans of the Ghostly International label. Oh sorry Mr. snootypants, is that too 2007 for you?
http://ghostly.com/artists/michna
http://www.myspace.com/eliotlipp

Simian Mobile Disco
- Audacity Of Huge (Dekker & Johan Remix): Another Obama reference? Who cares, it's a solid electro party romp.
http://www.simianmobiledisco.co.uk/
http://www.myspace.com/dekkerjohanproductions

Steven R. Smith - Paths In The Bower: I found this album, "The Anchorite", almost by accident, and I had to do an audio double-take because I was just ready to move on. But something snagged me and anchored me inwards, and a beautiful sound-world unfolded. Sitting in the realm of stunning soundtrack composition with the likes of Jonathan Bepler and Max Richter, he mixes up avant soundscapes with ambient textures, all with an epic sense of scale and imagery. Highly recommended, if the preceeding sentence doesn't sound terrifying to you.
http://www.worstward.com/

I was almost ready to cut The Low Anthem from this blog post, worrying it might just be too mellow, but fuck it, no shame, right? The 2008 album is "Oh My God, Charlie Darwin", and you can even still get these tracks on 7". Unpresuming, solemn, and still enticing, the sounds here strike the same part inside of me that goes crazy over Bon Iver and Adem.
http://www.lowanthem.com/

Trill Bass & Solace - Stackin: Chops up the horns made famous by Congo Natty in 1994 (at least in my neck of the woods), I can almost hear the Lords Of The Underground saying "Now before making records the 'hood was my savior". I love it when my junglist childhood gets the 21st century rework.

MP3 blog 2009/08/24

blog 2009/08/24 - An ipecac or a smorgasbord. MP3s for your face.

Bibio have been stacking great reviews for their 2009 album Ambivalence Avenue and it's got some next-level shit on it. But it's also a bit of a snoozer. I'll level with you, it's not close to Boards Of Canada in terms of beatsmithing, and not even near Flying Lotus, who barely output a cohesive listen.
Definitely an interesting LP to dig for beatheads, but like Prefuse-73 and Machine Drum, it doesn't hold up as a solidified sonic world and will be remembered for a single or two come 2012. Fire Ant here is the standout for me, with seductive cutups and talkbox distortion.
http://www.myspace.com/mrbibio

Brother Ali has a new LP on the horizon, and here is a preview from there, entitled "Us". So far so good, can't wait for it to drop.
http://www.myspace.com/brotherali

Cortney Tidwell is representing here with 2 tracks from her 2009 album "Boys". The production here is wonderful, taking a great singer-songwriter aesthetic and filtering through a Morr Music rackmount in one track, and borrowing the St. Vincent mastering studio for others.
The album as a whole didn't melt my world, but I just know that I will be enjoying it on and off for the next 6 months. If these 2 tracks speak to you, definitely track down the album and get rewarded.
http://www.myspace.com/cortneytidwell

Eskmo - Agnus Dei: Eskmo (formerly Eskimo; hurray for Googleable names!) is here to kick our collective asses with the subwoofer. Up in the leagues of subheavy production that is only resided in by the likes of Rusko, Various Productions and DZ, Eskmo has one of the most original dubstep voices out there. (OK, most original next to Various Productions, who are currently top of tops. see below) Eskmo has a tonne of tracks up for purchase at Beatport.com, so go buy everything he's done. And at least the angels will have something awesome to bump when the apocalypse reigns down on us all.
http://www.myspace.com/eskmo

I hadn't heard James Blackshaw before, and his 2007 LP "The Cloud Of Unknowing" just has me floored. Classical 12-string guitar wunderwalls of sounds and depth swirl over you. With a sense of delicateness borrowed from Loren Mazzacane Connors and stamina that would make Terry Riley applaud, this album is a remarkable instrumental work. Highly recommended.
If I had a magic wand that shot out fairy dust and performed non-consensual magical modification on you, the "shooting fairy dust" soundtrack would be James Blackshaw. (the dust would move slowly, k?)
http://www.myspace.com/jamesblackshaw

Leslie Hall - Blame The Booty (NSL's Bottom-Heavy Remix): Booty bass music isn't meant to be taken seriously, but Leslie Hall reminds us about what is to be taken seriously: Booty. For the love of ass, copious and luscious, we salute you.
http://www.lesliehall.com/

Mstrkrft ft John Legend - Heartbreaker: their last LP was panned across the board, but this surprising vocal pop single is redeeming. I am perhaps just relieved that the obnoxious hipster-bloghouse era is being signaled as officially over. We killed Dash Snow and made MSTRKRFT sound more like Jamie Lidell. There is a god.
http://www.mstrkrft.com/

I have always thought the world of Mexican electronic musician Murcof, ever since I first bought his debut LP Martes.
In a smart move, a producer finally hired him for soundtrack work, doing the entire score for Enlightened Blood (La Sangre Iluminada).
The film looks incredible, find more about it at http://www.lasangreiluminada.com/
Murcof's soundtrack work follows the similar orchestral glitch of the past 7 years, but included here is a special remix included on the soundtrack release that is just divine. Highly recommended: both the soundtrack, and the movie.
http://www.murcof.com/

Passion Pit - Sleepyhead (Starsmith Remix ft Ellie Goulding): OK, I know there have been a bajillion Passion Pit remixes on here, but I keep getting surprised. History has shown that most invigorating thing to do for both your fans and your career is to release all of the components of your song and let everyone and anyone remix them. This results in a glut of shitty remixes, but results in a few choice ones too. But woah there lassie, what we have here is the most radical result of that experiment yet: A total vocal reworking of Sleepyhead with the falsetto being replaced with a woman, and the detuned bass chorus being replaced with a man.
It's genius.
http://www.myspace.com/starsmithmusic

Radiohead - Harry Patch (In Memory Of): Partch died like 25 years ago come September 3rd, so time for another memorial. Radiohead continues with their online trends, releasing this on their website for pay-what-you-can, so go get a higher quality copy there if you want. Personally, I think this track is a great example of WHY the album format is so important.
http://www.radiohead.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Partch

Ramesh B Weeratunga - Ring Of Fire: heeeeeere we go! I bet you weren't expecting an Indian dance version of Johnny Cash, now were you? HAVE AT YOU!
http://www.rameshweeratunga.de/

Streetlife DJs - Gunn Crime: One of my earliest heart-ons for electronic music came from the Art Of Noise. I just loved the short pink-haired woman smashing shit up! Any AOS rework that pulls it off well tugs at my nostalgia strings, and Streetlife DJs do it here with funk to spare.
http://www.streetlifedjs.net/

The Tallest Man On Earth - A Field of Birds: This is the theme song for the website YellowBirdProject.com which gets indie rockers to design t-shirts and such. Definitely worth checking out.
http://www.myspace.com/thetallestmanonearth

tUnE-YaRdS - FIYA: When you think of indie, this is the ideal that crosses my mind. A recording of heart and sweat and skinned jeans that rejects the pure sugar-coated sap of the Juno soundtrack. Real emotion and presence, put out there in an any-means-necessary way. This is great.
http://tune-yards.com/

Various Production - The World Is Gone ft Cat Power: As I mentioned above, Various Production are at the cream of the production crop. Bred of Skull Disco mutations, Rusko basslines and Funkstorung edges, I have been so amazed by their output in the last year. Top drawer, all the way. Oh wait a sec, let's toss Cat Power in to a song and make you wet your pants. This is as awe-inducing as when Karmacoma was first released.
http://www.various.co.uk/

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory - Everlasting Gobstopper: I am an avid collector of 50s/60s/early 70s electro-acoustic music, and the 1971 release date of this film marks it perfectly for my interests. The sounds of the Everlasting Gobstoppers machine are a delightful concrete wonder, mixing traditional foley work with a Warner Bros 1940s aesthetic. It is joyous complexities like this that we don't perhaps notice as youth, but are super fun to rediscover later on.

Released by Much Music in 1990, this cassette will be a rare find for anyone that didn't grow up in Canada in the late 80s/early 90s.

MP3 blog 2009/0818

blog 2009/08/18 - The aching fingers should never be placed in the ears!

Hello! I wanted to get this out sooner, but my life is incredibly busy, so they fall as they may.

I was happy to get a message from Ana Pettinari, whose stirring sone "El ciclo" was featured in the 2009/08/05 edition here. I loved loved loved the song (if you haven't listened to it a million times, do so now!) but didn't understand the words.
She is from Argentina, and of the song she writes a concise explanation: "It talks about some feelings or ideas that come over and over, taking away the calm."

And now, on to the new music...

Arms - Kids Aflame: Arms is intelligently written and delightfully stripped down in it's execution. The core aspects of a good pop song are refined, polished, and then warbled for good measure. No attempts are made to overproduce, just to let the craft speak for itself.
http://www.myspace.com/armsongs

Basement Jaxx - Get Me Off (Elected 2009 Remix): This will get noted as probably the most interesting dubstep remix I have ever heard. It incorporates Jaxx samples from a few places, and weaves them almost like a megamix, but crafting something whole and intriguing. This Elected person is snazzy. I want more.
http://www.myspace.com/electedbeats

Boat Beam
- The Rain Pauly: From the 2009 album "Puzzles Shapes", this catchy and quaint number is an understated pleaser.
http://www.myspace.com/boatbeam

Copeland - The Grey Man: Sitting in that somewhat vague post-Coldplay space, Copeland occupies a similar space that Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun did in the early 90s: If you have a THIS shaped whole inside you, you will love it dearly. If not, you might just not be able to let yourself fall for emo-tinged crooning.
http://www.thecopelandsite.com/

Crush Buildings - Ghoul Pounds: This one is just beautiful. Intricate percussion comes from a few sources and helps weaves a hypnotic click-track for the reaching and understated vocals that really pull everything together. Is that flute on there, too? Wow and apparently these people are from Ottawa. Top notch.
http://www.crushbuildings.com/
http://www.myspace.com/crushbuildings

Dom & Black Sun Empire - Sparta: I just couldn't resist. I am loving Dom's latest album Through The Looking Glass and what do I choose? Some of the cheesier techstep. But oh forgive me, for the sheer necessity of meme propagation was too great. Pour some out for Sparta. And get the 2007 Dom album, it’s super fun.
http://www.domandroland.com/

Elliott Brood - Write It All Down For You: A rollicking beer-pounder from the album Mountain Meadows.
http://www.elliottbrood.ca/

Fourcolor - Fount: Digging back to 2004, this is from the gorgeous release Water Mirror. Filled with the stripped-down mellowness that showcases the best of the ambient movements in the IDM world.http://www.12k.com/fourcolor.html
http://www.frolicfon.com/music/four.html

Late of the Pier - Bathroom Gurgle (Breakbot Remix): I was a bit shocked to hear how true to the original this Breakbot remix is, especially considering their other staggeringly awesome reworks. But all the right tweaks are in all the right places, equaling a big awesome rocking track.
http://www.lateofthepier.com/
http://www.myspace.com/dothefunkybot

Lioness - Harder They Fall: This track from their self-titled album takes heavy cues from The Gossip, but uses the inspiration to good effect.
http://www.myspace.com/lionesslionesslioness

Marina & The Diamonds - Obsessions: I am in love with this CD. It sounds like something written by Regina Spektor, sung by Kate Nash, and with confidence boosting drugs provided by Amanda Palmer. This is almost a guilty obsession because you just know it will blow-up once it is discovered and be bought up for some cell-phone commercial. Enjoy it while you can!
http://www.myspace.com/marinaandthediamonds

Mystery Jets - Young Love (Shoes Mix): The twirling synth here is immediately addictive, followed by the sheer youthful lust of the song. It's like a 1980s teen flick and the near stalkerish obsessions with fleeting love butterflies. And as is par for the course, The Shoes turn in a rock'n'roll remix that hits all the right spots.
http://www.myspace.com/mysteryjets
http://www.myspace.com/theshoesmusik

Now Now Every Children - Cars: My new favourite single of the moment. Their album Cars is recommended for fans of The Bird & The Bee, The Blow and Rural Alberta Advantage.
http://www.myspace.com/nownoweverychildren

Passion Pit - The Reeling (Sammy Bananas' Big Choon Mix): Sammy Bananas usually goes big room, but here he flips it up and goes all grinning-happy on us and gives us this long-form blissout rendering of Passion Pit goodness. Thanks, Sammy!
http://www.passionpitmusic.com/
http://www.myspace.com/sammybananas

Sepalot - Go Get It (LAZRtag Remix): A solid remix effort, but not much else to say here. Just good.
http://www.sepalot.com/
http://www.myspace.com/lazrtag

Shad K
- I Get Down: From his first album "When This Is Over", this is just to remind us all that Shad K is damn good and has been consistently top-drawer Canadian hiphop.
http://www.shadk.com/

MP3 blog 2009/08/09

blog 2009/08/09 - Where is the love in this land of wires? Ooh right. There it is.

No filler just killer! Let's get to it.

Architecture in Helsinki - That Beep (Radioclit's French Mix): They are BACK! This is bubblegum pop goodness at it's best. Like a hipster mix of Spice Girls and... well Architecture In Helsinki. Their joys are inimitable.
http://www.myspace.com/aihmusic

Canadians ft Cherielynn Westrich - Neverending Story (Limahl cover): I can't describe just how important The Neverending Story was to my life, but I can go off on nonsensical eyes-wide rants for hours at a time. THIS MAKES ME SO FUCKING HAPPY.
http://www.myspace.com/canadianstheband

Colin Stetson - Time Is Advancing with Fitful Irregularity: I'm going to throw this out there. I know many of you will delete this one, and I won't hold that against you. This is a bit more difficult than you are used to. And that's OK. But just give it one chance and see if it does anything. It's mystical and esoteric and altogether engrossing and disturbing solo saxophone.
http://www.colinstetson.com/home.html

The new Ethan Rose album is called Oaks, and my oh my, why don't you own it yet? Witness the sterling beauty. Witness the delightfully full production. Witness the perfect amount of spaces and tiny stars exploding around you.
Highly recommended for fans of Biosphere, Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto, and the romantic side of Eluvium.
http://www.ethanrosemusic.com/

Gui Boratto - No Turning Back: Gui often (and tragically) gets lumped in with the dearth of "Beatport Superstars": Tech house producers that are one-trick ponies that often have a stable of releases. But don't be fooled: Gui has always been at the forefront of the electro world, giving us more unique and ground-breaking tracks than any AliveGoo5 approximation could ever muster. Another track of blissout tech.
http://www.guiboratto.com.br/

Harlem Shakes sit on the tip of your tongue. They remind you of so many other great rock bands with a strong pop lean, but you get apprehensive naming similarities. So many things fit, and so many of those so many fits don't fit quite too well. They don't do it justice.
Recommended for fans of Pavement, The National, They Might Be Giants, The Mountain Goats, Yeah Yeah Yeahs. uggh whatever. "Technicolor Health" is the new album. And it's good.
http://www.harlemshakes.com/

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over The Rainbow; What A Wonderful World: A throwback to 1993. This ushy-gushy sentimental merry-go-round is impossible to hate. And you just don't fuck around with a ukulele. You give it due respect. (I just noticed there are some digital blips in my copy. sorry)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_Kamakawiwo%27ole

Papercutz - A Secret Search: This is music after my own heart. A solid beat that would make a younger Dabrye proud and perfectly mixed in vocal overdubs. Wonderful.
http://papercutzed.com/

Starkey - Strike Now: For those of you worried this update has been a bit too sentimental or abstract and just not delivering any ruffness, this is for you. Starkey takes some cues from Mick Harris and delivers a MASSIVE bass explosion that fits in perfectly with any Scorn set. Top notch.
http://www.myspace.com/starkey

I have posted leaked tracks from The Antlers on here before, and each has made my heart feel light. And now one more to remind you that the new LP "Bear" is now available for you. Stunning, and highly recommended.
http://www.antlersmusic.com/

The Pixies - Debaser (DJ Eleven Remix): What can be said? A great bouncey track in convenient DJ-friendly bassy form.
http://www.myspace.com/pixies

Wale - Chillin' (Skratch Bastid Remix): If you've been here a while you've known I have lots of love for Wale, and this is another fine example of why.
http://www.myspace.com/wale

Weekend Players - Hype The Funk (Audio Jacker Mix): Funky bounce house? Check. Ultramagnetic MC samples? Check. Pants off? Check.
http://www.myspace.com/weekendplayersuk

This whole post has been leading up to this! This post goes out to Shannon and her daughter who each fell in love with tracks from Why?'s last album.
Well here it is you two, the new Why? is out and "Eskimo Snow" is a delight. Just check out the majesty of This Blackest Purse.
Amazing. Highly recommended.

blog 2009/08/05 - These mp3s! Like grains of sand through my fingers...

Amadou And Mariam - Siteladi (Mo Dj Remix): About time this duo got a single out! Not too much added with this remix, but it ups the DJ-friendly quotient for sure.

Ana Pettinari - El ciclo: I don't speak the language, but holy shit that chorus makes me shiver. So good.

Anaïs Mitchell - Your Fonder Heart: More on the folk tip, her vocal technique bridges that delicious sweet spot between Joanna Newsom and Sarah Mclachlan. And I also note and enjoy the dueling guitar melodies in each channel, with the horns section right in the center for that crescendo swell.

B. Rich - It'll Be Alright ft Domonique: We start off with some Baille car-alarm funk, and just when you think it'll be some instrumental twitch house, the smooth vocals slide in there and work it over perfectly. So damn hot. A stormer.

Bell Orchestre really capture your imagination. Limp genres like "post rock" have long been floundering in their own redundancy, but the new LP "As Seen Through Windows" evokes the excitement as when you first heard Dirty Three and Hovercraft back in the 90s.
They also raise the bar by covering Aphex Twin's Bucephalus Bouncing Ball! I double-dare Sunn O))) to cover any of Come To Daddy. Aphex Twin hasn't sounded this good since Dillinger Escape Plan covered
him. Well, or since the 90s.
Recommended for all fans of post-rock and instrumental prog rock.

Woah, back the fuck up. This guy was on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Can you believe it?
"So Far Gone" is Drake's new LP and it's pretty chill. I'm pretty picky with hiphop (can you guess?) and so a bunch of it came off as juvenile and unrefined, but there are a few sweetspots.
Obviously Kanye-influenced, but in a good way, he even inserts himself in with Lykke Li. And don't worry, he pulls it off. Well played, sir!

Fagget Fairys - Feed The Horse (Gambit Remix): Oh this is dripping with all sorts of awesome awkward sex.

We dropped a remix on here previously, but here are two solid tracks from the new Gossip album "Music for Men". It follows in the same style as the prior album, with it's raw production values that really let Beth Ditto's power shine through. Expect a similar flood of awesome remixes.
Highly recommended for fans of rock. All rock.

Jónsi & Alex - Boy 1904: Lush choral ambience from the new LP "Riceboy Sleeps".

Jose James - Spirits Up Above: This might be a shock for regular listeners, but it's true straight-up soul with traditional flair and jazz piano to boot.

I remember the last I had heard of Kid606 for a while was a quip in an interview about he wanted to try something new and challenging, like raising a family.
Well after an appropriate number of years, he re-emerges! And lo', he has some dompe remixes in tow on the Dancehall Of The Dead album.
Cardopusher hits us with some darkstep bassy monster movie fun. Mr. Wobble's Nightmare parodies the classic 4 Hero track from about 18 years ago, but cranking up the BPM and squelching out the breaks'n'bass.
Fun stuff.

Phatcat & DZ - Shadows: Ottawa-based DZ turns in another scorcher. Appropriately following the Mr. Kird do-over above, this track digs back to the early 90s hardcore classic Valley of The Shadows by Origin Unknown and reworks it for the 21st century dubstep heads. Solid.

St. Vincent - Actor Out Of Work: I hadn't loved the new St. Vincent as much as everyone else, but I thought I'd toss you another one of their gems since I listened to this one again, this time from their 7" EP release. This tracks captures some of the magic of their earlier LP, but in slightly noisier form.

Xabec - Open State (Transformed by Eletronengehirn): And we will close things down with ambience from Xabec's 2008 LP "Transformed". It's an eclectic grouping, with experimental artists, glitch-techno kids, and drone ambient chillouts. A bit uneven, but very much worth checking out if those 3 genres are your thing.

Herbert Brün - Über Musik und zum Computer 10'' (1971)

Herbert Brün - Über Musik und zum Computer 10'' (1971)

contempory experimental electronic/tape music
digitized @ 320 kbps

I found this book at a local library. It was in German, so I didn't really understand it, but was filled with large pages of triangles and warped squares, all overlayed. Hurray for avant-garde geometric scores!
The 10" was insert in the back sleeve of the book and features some wild music. And believe me, I own many many records of 60s/early-70s synth music, and the compositions here are in legion with the wildest. One of the most satisfying releases of all my 60s/70s contemporary electronics.

John Steinbacher - The Child Seducers (1969)

John Steinbacher - The Child Seducers (as read by John Carradine)
LP
1969

You know what's destroying America? THOSE DIRTY FUCKING DEVIL-WORSHIPPING LIBERAL FEMINIST NUDIST CULTIST HOMO ATHEIST COMMUNIST GOD-MOCKING PORNOGRAPHING BRAINWASHERS OF "contempory sex edution in the public school system".
Sexual education breeds communism and will therefor be the downfall of America! Oppose child molestation: Oppose sex education!

Well, this is how it was back in the 60s.
Ok OK, some people are still on that same ol' trip, but most have moved on.

This album is full of AWESOME WIN and will teach you oh so much about proper morals, communism, drugs, sexuality, and so many more things your prepubescent self should have been self-flagellating over.

Digitized by CPI. Some minor bumps on the vinyl, but mostly clean. 320 kbps.

(are you sure you know what you're getting into?)
