Herbert Brün - Über Musik und zum Computer 10'' (1971)

Herbert Brün - Über Musik und zum Computer 10'' (1971)

contempory experimental electronic/tape music
digitized @ 320 kbps

I found this book at a local library. It was in German, so I didn't really understand it, but was filled with large pages of triangles and warped squares, all overlayed. Hurray for avant-garde geometric scores!
The 10" was insert in the back sleeve of the book and features some wild music. And believe me, I own many many records of 60s/early-70s synth music, and the compositions here are in legion with the wildest. One of the most satisfying releases of all my 60s/70s contemporary electronics.

  3. Thanks for fixing the link. The music is great. I like the orchestral collages, the electronic interjections, the spatial effects and the fine sound quality (good rip, btw!). I'd love to see the booklet's drawings and graphics. The ones on his website look great. Thanks for sharing this. (Continuo)

  4. The book was filled with similar drawings as can been seen on his website, and the accompanying text was all in German.
I can't find the book for sale anywhere (but a book of his essays is available for $150...) but depending on where you are, this book and 10" is available at a number of University libraries.
