Nosaj Thing - Medic:  Fated is full of good things and great ideas, I just wish most of them were longer.  It reads like a beat tape in search of a performer when it really doesn't need to be, because the ideas mostly all stand strong alone.  RECOMMENDED.

The Fuck.  What the actual fuck?  Is this real life?  Is there suddenly a new Violent Femmes EP out?  What?  I mean sure, I guess I know the answer:  Yes, the Happy New Year EP is here.  And it sounds…  Like the Femmes:  jangling, under produced, and always a bit ramshackled and slightly off key.  I was ready to hate this and dang, I kind of like it, and it's growing.  I'm shocked, shocked I know.  RECOMMENDED.
